Henry Silentman
Economic Development Specialist
Henry is an Economic Development Specialist for the Navajo Nation, serving at the Shiprock Regional Business Development Office in Northwest New Mexico. In this role, he works closely with businesses on the Navajo Nation, guiding them through the business site lease process to secure land for their ventures. Henry previously served as the Chairman of the Navajo Nation Loan Approval Committee, where he led the evaluation and approval of financing through the Navajo Nation Development Fund for two years. Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous impactful projects and developed proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software. Henry also played a pivotal role in the Navajo Nation Presidential Transition in 2011.
Henry provides a broad range of services to his clients, including personalized one-on-one training and group workshops for business owners and entrepreneurs. He specializes in business plan development through the Indianpreneurship® program, which is tailored specifically to support Navajo small businesses. He also offers guidance on five in-house financing programs designed for Navajo entrepreneurs. In addition, Henry represents the Navajo Nation on the Arizona District Export Council, promoting trade and export opportunities, and assists with business site development and redevelopment projects.
Beyond his economic development work, Henry is dedicated to organizational excellence. As an examiner with the Quality New Mexico program, he is committed to the rigorous pursuit of quality and believes that excellence is always a worthy goal.
