Carolin Gey

With more than 30 years of experience in international business, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit leadership, Carolin Gey has built her career around cross-cultural collaboration, international business development, and creating organizations that connect economic, cultural, and community interests.

After relocating from Germany to Phoenix in 2002, Carolin drew on her background in business economics and entrepreneurship to establish and manage ventures in healthcare and wellness, sports, and manufacturing. Her experience includes developing international distribution networks, building strategic partnerships and sales channels, supporting product development and branding, and facilitating business relationships between the United States and Europe.

In February 2020, Carolin was appointed Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Arizona. In this role, she provides consular services and promotes bilateral relations between Germany and Arizona in business, culture, education, and community engagement, serving as a bridge between German and Arizona institutions, businesses, and communities. In October 2020, Carolin co-founded Treffpunkt, a nonprofit international German-speaking community center in Scottsdale. As President, she has guided its growth into a vibrant hub for cultural exchange, education, business networking, and community engagement, hosting more than 100 events annually and operating a small language school.

In early 2026, Carolin became Managing Director of the newly established Senate of Economy United States, a B Corporation focused on responsible business leadership, practical solutions, and international partnerships. She leads its strategic development, the Council that organizes conferences, workshops, and international delegations, while supporting European companies entering the U.S. market and U.S. companies expanding into Europe.

Carolin also serves as Vice Chair of the Executive Board of the Diplomatic Corps of Arizona, supporting collaboration within Arizona’s diplomatic community and promoting international engagement across the state. In 2023, she chaired the successful Ambassadors’ Ball, with Germany as the country of honor.

Carolin holds a master’s degree in business economics from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg and studied at the University of Seville. Fluent in German and English and conversational in Spanish, she brings extensive international and cross-cultural experience to her work.

Across her various roles, Carolin focuses on building meaningful relationships across borders and sectors, connecting people, organizations, and markets while advancing sustainable economic development, international understanding, and long-term partnerships between Europe and the United States.
